This is hardcover of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum issued in 1939 in connection with the film version of the L.Frank Baum tale of the Wizard of Oz! based, a tie in with the 1939 MGM technicolor musical spectacular. Starring Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley, Frank Morgan and Margaret Hamilton! in excellent condition, some wear on the book cover, but a protective sheet, insides generally in good condition vintage 1939, a great Wizard of Oz collectible! Complete with 8 color plates.

Title is The Wizard of Oz, Illustrated by MARAJA, publisher Grosset & Dunlap - New York. Large 9 3/4" x 13" book is in good condition for age with minor bumped corners and the dust jacket is in fair condition with a few tears and scraps. Dust Jacket still has original price sticker on the front for $2.95 and the inside flap still has the price on it.

This book has white end papers, (someone has pasted one small Wizard of Oz sticker inside the cover and one on the first endpaper page). Printed in Italy by Fratelli Fabbri Editor, Via Abbadesse 40, Milano for the publishers Grosset & Dunlap, Inc., 1107 Broadway, New York 10, N.J. Bound in the United States of America. Off. Graf. G. VACCARI - Sesto S.G. - Milano is printed at the bottom of the page across from the title page. Book has 120 text pages. The ownership page has not been inscribed.
