PICTURES FROM THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ by W. W. Denslow with a story telling the Adventures of the Scarecrow the Tin Man and the Little Girl by Thos. H. Russell. Chic: Geo. Ogilvie [1903]. 8vo, cloth backed stiff pictorial card covers., VG+. 1st ed. Containing 22 wonderful color plates from the Wizard by Denslow Schiller #336 writes "This rare pamphlet was the result of an unfortunate quarrel between Baum and Denslow, each claiming chief responsibility for the success of their collaboration." The color cover depicts the Scarecrow and the Tin Man as they appeared on Broadway. A scarce Oz item and a nice copy.

Original painting of Lost Princess of Oz by Michael Herring
The painting is on white board (foamcore board) and measures
approximately 20" x 30". It is painted with oils. The board edges are
secured with black tape (by the artist) and the painting is matted and
framed (also by the artist) to measure a total of 22" x 32". It is the
first depiction of the mechanical dragons. The only other published
image of the dragons is from the Japanese Hayakawa edition.

This was published as the cover for the book THE LOST PRINCESS OF OZ
from Del Rey/Ballantine publishing.
