Road to Oz. 1st edition, 1st state, 1st printing in 1st edition partial dust jacket. ~ 1909. Sold 6/15/2014
1st edition, 1st state, 1st printing with caption on plate 129. The ownership page has original owners name and date Xmas 1910. The book is clean and tight inside with no writing or marks. The front cover has a bright pictorial with a bit of soiling along the spine edge. The spine is nice but the back cover shows some wear. The front page of the DJ (see image and the two white side flaps are detached and laid into the book). Even a partial DJ is rare to find for this book. Nice clean collectible book.

FRANK BAUM'S first children's book AND the first book by famous illustrator, MAXFIELD PARRISH. The last story in the book introduces a little girl by the name of Dorothy who, unbeknownst to her and perhaps her creator, had an exciting future ahead of her with the Wizard of Oz and Toto. 12 full page illustrations by Maxfield Parrish are all present;

The Wizard Of Oz script copy dated 8/8/38
The Wizard Of Oz script copy dated 8/8/38 Title page says "VAULT COPY" "FILE COPY" DO NOT MAKE CHANGES. This script copy has many different scenes from the movie's final form. Some of the scenes are the same. On April 10, 2010 similar script dated on 10/7/38 sold for 16,730 at Heritage auction.

Rare Oz string holders from 1950s in mint condition.
Set of 6, typically measuring between 5.5x7” to 5.5x8”. c. 1950s. Each string holder has ©MGM incised text along with numbers “3901-3906” in edges. High relief painted plaster with holes in mouth with string. Recessed backs have original metal hangers at top. Very highly detailed depictions including simulated tarnish to Tin Man’s face and hat. A superb complete set. Each of the 4 main characters are listed for $395.00 in the 2007 edition of Schroeder’s Antique Price Guide.

Since this is a complete set of 6 and two of them Glinda and Wicked Witch ( selling for over $1000 each) are very rare. I estimate a valu of a whole set of 6 at $5,,000.
