WIZARD OF OZ WICKED WITCH Signed Costume Movie Prop COA
Authentic Fabric from the hat worn during the famous Melting Scene! Elaborately Custom Framed. Authentic Fabric taken from the hat that actress, Margaret Hamilton, wore during her role as “The Wicked Witch”. This Fabric was taken from the hat Hamilton wore during the famous “Melting Scene”.

The fabric has been Framed (frame alone is several hundred dollars. Approx. Framed Dimensions: 23” X 19”) and matted with a photo of Margaret Hamilton as “The Wicked Witch,” along with an excellent FACSIMILE signature in blue ink (very original in its appearance and difficult to tell from real), and a presentation plate inscribed with the following, “THE WICKED WITCH The Wizard of Oz 1939 MARGARET HAMILTON Authentic Fabric cut from the lining of the cone from the Wicked Witch’s hat that was worn by Margaret Hamilton during the famous melting scene.” The presentation looks spectacular in person!

The Purchaser will receive full documentation with regard to the Authentic Fabric taken from this famous hat

This piece of fabric was removed from the hat by William S. Mack prior to consigning the hat in 1998 to Profiles in History Auction House in 1998, Lot #113. Letter of authenticity signed by William S . Mack indicating that he removed the fabric from the inside of the hat's cone.

In March of 2008, a Hamilton Wicked Witch hat used only for the melting sequence sold at auction for $208,000.

Wizard of Oz poster from 1929
Very rare poster from 1929 in fine condition with original card that have never been removed. This poster is similar to one shown on page 175 in the Wizard of Oz Collector's Treasury book (see last photo).

The American Seating Company's Oz poster, circa July 1929, was one of the earliest Oz product endorsements. Perhaps to appeal to educators and school children, an attempt was made to "humanize" the popular Scarecrow and Ptchwork Girl characters - in spite of their familiarity and the fact that similar advertisements featured the traditional book characters.
